Crownview Psychiatric Institute serves adults who meet the following general criteria:
- Age 18 or older (all gender identities accepted)
- Have been experiencing acute symptoms of a complex mental health condition
- Can benefit from intensive clinical services and comprehensive wraparound support
Our programming may be ideal for clients whose lives have been disrupted by concerns such as borderline personality disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder.
Understanding a client’s mental health needs is, of course, a vital part of our admissions process. But a person’s diagnosis is just one of many factors we consider when we develop their personalized treatment plan.
Beyond the Diagnosis
At Crownview, we wholeheartedly believe that people are more than symptoms they have been experiencing or the diagnosis they have received. We realize that the challenges our clients are facing have influenced their development – but these concerns do not define them as a person, nor do they preclude them from making meaningful progress.
We also realize that most of our clients have previously tried to get help, but their prior treatment did not lead to sustained improvements in their quality of life. We note this not to criticize other providers or to second-guess their decisions, but simply to acknowledge how difficult it can be for people with complex diagnoses to find the type and level of care that’s right for them.
The truth of the matter is that, by the time they arrive at our center, many of our clients believe they have no hope of getting better, or of even finding a place where they will be accepted for who they are. If this describes you or someone that you care about, please know this: Crownview Psychiatric Institute can help. Contact us today to learn more.
